Care and prevention
- Carry the Chromebook closed with two hands. Never lift by the screen.
- Keep it off the floor and away from locker doors and crush zones.
- Do not place items on the keyboard before closing the lid.
- Use a padded sleeve or case during transport.
- Keep away from food, drinks, and pets.
- Use flat, stable surfaces. Avoid soft surfaces that block vents.
- Insert and remove power cords gently to protect ports and cables.
- Clean with a dry microfiber cloth only.
- Avoid extreme heat and cold.
- Report issues right away.
Report a device issue
If your child’s Chromebook is lost, stolen, or damaged, call the Main Office of your child’s school as soon as possible. Include the student name, device ID if known, date, and a short description. The technology team will evaluate the device and may provide a loaner if available.
Do not attempt self repair. Outside repairs may void district support or warranty.
