Spectator Code of Conduct

Promoting sportsmanship, character, and Eagle Pride at every contest.

The Lake Shore Athletic Department recognizes the role of Interscholastic Athletics in defining ethical behavior and developing personal character. We ask that all spectators—including students, parents, family, and friends—adhere to the following standards of conduct.

Spectator Expectations

  • Demonstrate a high degree of sportsmanship at all times.
  • Show team support by making only positive comments.
  • Respect the judgment of coaches, officials, and referees.
  • Acknowledge fields and courts as the players' domain.
  • Monitor the safety of children in bleachers and stands.
  • All schools are smoke-free and substance-free environments.
  • School rules apply to all home and away contests.
  • Respect chaperones as the authority at athletic events.
  • Failure to comply will lead to ejection from the event.

Enforcement & Consequences

Lake Shore contests are held in the spirit of healthy competition. Spectators displaying poor behavior may be removed by staff or law enforcement. Consequences include:

Removal Penalty:

Any spectator removed from a game (home or away) faces a minimum one-game suspension and must complete the NFHS Parent Credential course before returning to any event.

Note: The School District reserves the discretion to enhance suspensions for egregious violations. Remember, you are a representative of the Lake Shore school community.
