UNDERSTANDING MEETING RECORDS

The Agenda: Posted via BoardDocs a minimum of 24 hours prior to each scheduled meeting. This serves as the official roadmap for district business and outlines all items slated for public discussion or Board action.

The Minutes: Minutes are the legal record of Board actions. They are considered "Draft" until they are formally reviewed, corrected if necessary, and approved by a majority vote of the Board at a subsequent regular business meeting.

Supplemental Exhibits: Many agenda items include background documents, financial reports, or presentations. These "Exhibits" are attached directly to the digital agenda items in BoardDocs for public review.

Executive Session Records: In accordance with NYS Law, the Board may meet privately to discuss specific sensitive matters (such as litigation or personnel history). No formal minutes are taken during these sessions unless an action is taken by a formal vote, in which case a record of that vote is made available within one week.

Public Access: All approved minutes from 2018 to the present are digitally archived and searchable. For records predating our digital transition, please file a FOIL request through the District Clerk Office.
