Process Updates

Please note that the selective classification process has transitioned to the Athletic Placement Process (APP). This framework is designed for a very small percentage of student-athletes who have the physical, emotional, and social maturity, as well as the athletic ability, to safely and successfully participate at a higher level of competition.

The APP ensures that student-athletes are placed at the level that best suits their individual development. This evaluation includes:

• Maturity Screening: A medical review to ensure physical readiness for higher-level contact and competition.
• Physical Fitness Testing: Specific performance benchmarks that must be met prior to tryouts.
• Skill Evaluation: Review by coaching staff to determine if the athlete's ability exceeds the current grade-level offerings.
