Reporting Data Breaches

Unauthorized Release of Student, Teacher, or Principal Data

Lake Shore Central School District parents, eligible students (18+ or postsecondary), principals, teachers, and employees may file a complaint regarding a possible breach or improper disclosure of protected data.

Filing Procedures

Step 1: Submission

All complaints must be submitted to the District's Data Protection Officer in writing or by using the digital reporting form provided below.

Step 2: Investigation

The District will promptly acknowledge receipt, commence an investigation, and take necessary precautions to protect PII.

Step 3: Resolution

Findings will be provided within a reasonable timeframe, not to exceed 60 calendar days from the initial receipt of the complaint.
