Each school district shall develop and maintain its policies for providing academic intervention services and shall either post its policies to its website or distribute to parents in writing a description of such process, including a description of which student performance measures and scores on such measures will be utilized to determine eligibility for academic intervention services.

Dissemination of Budget Information: Copies of the proposed annual operating budget for the succeeding year and all required attachments may be obtained by any District resident. Requests for copies of the proposed budget should be made at least seven (7) days before the budget hearing. Copies shall be prepared and made available at the school district office, public or associate libraries within the District and on the District website, if one exists.

Each board of education and board of cooperative educational services shall ensure community awareness of its code of conduct by: posting the complete code of conduct on the internet website, providing summaries to students and parents, and providing each teacher with a copy.

Providing that the department and the department of health shall post on their internet websites information relating to mild traumatic brain injuries, which shall include but not be limited to, the definition of a “concussion,” signs and symptoms of mild traumatic brain injuries, how such injuries may occur, and the guidelines for the return to school and to certain school activities.

Each educational agency must publish its data security and privacy policy on its website and provide notice of the policy to all its officers and employees. Education Law § 2-d requires each educational agency to develop a Parents’ Bill of Rights for Data Privacy and Security and publish it on its website.

The Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) prohibits harassment against students in school, including harassment based on real or perceived race, color, weight, national origin, ethnic group, religion, religious practice, disability, sexual orientation, gender and sex.
