Philosophy of Lake Shore Athletics

Athletic Goals & Ethics

An integral extension of the Lake Shore educational experience.

The Pursuit of Excellence

Interscholastic athletics are a voluntary extension of the physical education program, intended to provide an outlet for students whose development fits them for strenuous sports. We focus on the development of our youth with particular emphasis on health, fitness, character, and physical skills.

Academic Priority

Athletes are encouraged to maintain their best possible grades. Coaches cooperate by providing time for help classes and study.

Our program is highlighted by a strict respect for authority, personal integrity, and a sense of fairness.
