Board of Education: Candidate Information
The Lake Shore Central School District community is invited to consider service on the Board of Education. Two (2) seats, both for three-year terms, are up for election on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. These seats are currently held by Michael Franey and Megan Smaldino.
Key Dates & Deadlines
- Monday, March 2, 2026: Petitions become available in the District Clerk’s Office.
- Monday, April 20, 2026 (5 p.m.): Deadline to file completed petitions with the District Clerk.
- Tuesday, May 19, 2026 (9 a.m. – 9 p.m.): Board Election and Budget Vote.
How to Obtain a Petition
Nominating petitions will be available beginning March 2 at the District Clerk’s Office, located in Lake Shore High School. Office hours for petition pickup are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Note: Candidates must enter through the main entrance of the High School.
