Lake Shore Staff Edges Out Evans Police in Charity Basketball Game

The Lake Shore community filled the high school gym on Wednesday night for the Lake Shore Staff vs. Evans Police charity basketball game. The energy in the building matched the purpose behind the event — supporting local families through Operation Good Neighbor and the Lake Shore Family Support Center.
The game stayed close from start to finish, with Lake Shore staff securing a 32–29 win. The real victory came off the court, as hundreds of nonperishable food and hygiene items were donated by those in attendance. These contributions will directly support families throughout the district and surrounding communities.
Lake Shore Central School District thanks the Evans Police Department for their sportsmanship and partnership, and we thank every student, family, staff member, and community member who donated to this important cause.
Those who were unable to attend can still contribute. All Lake Shore schools, along with the Town of Evans, Town of Brant, and Village of Angola offices, are collecting items as part of the districtwide food drive. Full details are available at lakeshorecsd.org/fooddrive.
