World Kindness Day Across Lake Shore Schools

Lake Shore celebrated World Kindness Day with a districtwide visit from local author Lisa Bogner. She spent the full day traveling to every elementary school and the Hoag Educational Center, meeting with students to talk about the importance of choosing kindness in everyday life.
During each stop, Bogner read from her book, explained how kind actions can shape someone’s day, and encouraged students to think about how they can spread kindness in their classrooms and at home. She also donated a copy of her book to every child she met, giving students a meaningful way to carry the message forward.
Even our youngest learners in UPK joined in. They shared examples of being kind to friends, helping at home, and using gentle words. The energy across classrooms was warm and positive, reflecting the day’s theme.
Lake Shore CSD offers its gratitude to Lisa Bogner for dedicating her time to our students!
