LAKE SHORE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ANNOUNCES 2026 ANNUAL VOTE AND ELECTION RESULTS

Angola, N.Y. (May 19, 2026) — The Lake Shore Central School District has finalized the official results of the vote held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. District residents cast their ballots for the 2026–27 Annual Budget Vote, the Vehicle Purchase Referendum, and the Board of Education Election.
Both propositions on the ballot were approved by district voters:
- Proposition #1 (2026–27 Budget): The proposed budget passed with 401 yes votes to 161 no votes.
- Proposition #2 (Vehicle Purchase Referendum): The referendum passed with 434 yes votes to 131 no votes.
In the Board of Education election, three candidates campaigned for two open seats, each carrying a three-year term. Incumbent Michael Franey and candidate Gary Vassallo secured the two positions on the board, receiving 437 votes and 306 votes, respectively. Candidate Martha Mangan finished the evening with 238 votes.
