Eagles Manufacturing Earns Prestigious Community Impact Award at Southtowns Gala

ANGOLA, NY — May 21, 2026
The community has spoken, and Lake Shore Central School District’s student-run business program, Eagles Manufacturing, has officially taken home the Community Impact Award from the Southtowns Chamber of Commerce's inaugural Gala for the Southtowns held last night.
This regional honor directly reflects the trust and investment that local businesses, families, and community members place in Lake Shore students. By partnering with the program for real-world design, engraving, and fabrication projects, local clients provide students with an operational environment to build technical and professional skills that leave a lasting legacy in the workforce.
The night brought multiple reasons for the district to celebrate. High school educator Heather Boncore received a well-deserved nomination for Educator of the Year, recognizing her tireless dedication to helping students discover their career paths and potential. Additionally, Lake Shore students Lilianne Flading and Jacob Strianese were officially announced as Southtowns Regional Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Recipients in honor of their exceptional work ethic and academic commitment.
The district extends its gratitude to everyone who voted online and continues to support our career and technical education initiatives. Congratulations to program advisors Ms. Millen and Ms. Widger, alongside the entire Eagles Manufacturing student team, on this landmark achievement.
