New Grandstands and Press Box Installed as Capital Project Reaches Major Milestone

ANGOLA, NY — June 3, 2026
The skyline at the Lake Shore Senior High School athletic complex changed significantly this week as construction crews completed the installation of our brand-new, 1,044-seat grandstands and elevated two-sided press box. This structural milestone marks a major step forward for Phase 2 of the district’s capital project, which continues to progress with a $0.00 additional tax impact for community residents.
The rapid assembly follows a successful concrete foundation pour in mid-May. Heavy site teams worked through significant spring precipitation totals that had temporarily saturated the grounds, adjusting schedules to ensure the heavy steel risers and streaming-capable press box were safely secured right on schedule.
The completion of the seating framework arrives at an ideal moment for families. The facility is scheduled to host its first official district event later this month for our outdoor graduation ceremony, allowing our community to experience the updated amenities firsthand while celebrating our graduating seniors.
With the main seating structures now securely in place, site teams are shifting focus back to the playing surfaces. Specialized crews will continue high-precision laser grading and base conditioning required for the installation of the multi-sport turf fields and the pro-level baseball and softball diamonds.
