Evans Community to Celebrate National Night Out on August 4

The Evans Police Department, William G. Houston Middle School, and Town of Evans Community Events are proud to announce the return of National Night Out. This annual family event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at William G. Houston Middle School, located at 8855 Erie Road in Angola.
National Night Out is a nationwide community-building campaign designed to enhance local safety, strengthen relationships between residents and law enforcement, and foster a true sense of neighborhood spirit. This local celebration is completely free to attend and open to all community members.
An exciting lineup of entertainment, activities, and safety resources has been organized for the evening, including:
-
Live Entertainment: Interactive magic performances from "It's Magic" with Ted Burzynski and a live musical performance by multi-talented musician Gregg Sansone.
-
Family Activities: A community dunk tank, a variety of lawn games, and professional airbrush tattoo artistry.
-
Touch-a-Truck Experience: An interactive opportunity for students and families to meet local first responders, explore emergency response vehicles up close, and learn about public safety operations.
-
Child Safety Support: Certified technicians will be available on-site to conduct free, professional car seat safety inspections and provide installation guidance.
Through this collaborative event, organizers aim to bring neighbors together with the public safety personnel who serve them every day, reinforcing the shared commitment to keeping the community safe, connected, and strong.
