Student Representation

At Lake Shore, we believe that effective governance requires direct input from those most impacted by district policy: our students. The Student Representative to the Board of Education ensures that student perspectives are integrated into high-level discussions regarding curriculum, facilities, and campus culture.

Current Representative: Ashton Marsh (2025-26) The Student Representative serves as a vital bridge between the student body and the Board of Education. This non-voting member attends regular board meetings to provide real-time feedback on student life and acts as a formal liaison for the High School Student Government.

Role & Responsibility

The representative gathers concerns and suggestions from peers across all grade levels, presenting a monthly report to the Trustees that highlights student achievements and areas for district improvement.

Leadership Impact

This position fosters civic engagement and provides students with a unique look at public administration, ensuring that "Student-Centered Excellence" remains more than just a mission statement.
